HESSA Delegation Visits NUTECH

Higher Education System Strengthening Activity (HESSA) is a project of University of Utah (UU) supported by USAID. It aims at capacity building of 16 selected HEIs of Pakistan in terms of leadership development, strategic planning, faculty development, curricula reform and modernization, research management and creation of students’ support structure in the HEIs.

NUTECH is honoured to be a part of the HESSA program as one of the 16 selected HEIs. Members of the HESSA project team including Mike Barber (Project Director), Cheri Daily (Project Manager), Aslam Chaudhry (Chief of Party), Ayesha Razzaque (Deputy Chief of Party), Susan Carvalho and Gwendolyn Schaefer visited NUTECH. The HESSA team had a detailed meeting with Rector NUTECH Lt Gen (R) Moazzam Ejaz, HI(M), Pro- Rector Maj Gen Khalid Javed and DG NORIC Air Vice Marshal Asif Maqsood, SI(M) along with other officers and faculty members from NUTECH. Faculty members who had undergone various trainings organized under the HESSA project shared their experiences and praised the HESSA team for their efforts. Registrar Dr Adnan Qasim briefed the visiting HESSA team about NUTECH. Dean of University Dr Muhammad Almas Anjum lead the discussion on NUTECH’s participation in HESSA project and briefed the visiting team about NUTECH’s strategic initiatives and expectations from the HESSA project.
